by Richa G 10. June 2013 09:40

Bangkok Airways passengers would now get cheap flights options when traveling on Japan Airlines flights as well. Bangkok Airways recently entered into a codeshare partnership with Japan Airlines.

The airline in a statement said that Bangkok Airways frequent flyer members would now be offered FlyerBonus points when traveling on applicable Japan Airlines flights. The move is aimed at providing cheap tickets and making the flights cheaper.

The two carriers – Bangkok Airways and Japan Airlines – implemented their codeshare partnership by operating the flights starting from May 15, 2013.
According to the airline, the codeshare partnership covers selected Japan Airlines flights between the Thai capital Bangkok and three airports in Japan, as well as Bangkok Airways flights between Bangkok and four destinations in Japan.

The codeshare partnership between the two carriers would enable the passengers traveling from Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita airports and Osaka a smoother transit through Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport and onwards to Mumbai, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Koh Samui and vice versa.
