by Richa G 27. June 2013 06:41

Philippine Airlines passengers can expect more cheap flights options in near future. As the airline is planning to replenish its fleet by adding new Airbus aircrafts to its existing fleet. The ailrine has taken this decision with an aim to accommodate a large number of passengers and to remain competitive with its rival Cebu Pacific.

Philippine Airlines recently announced it will be introducing a fourth class of service on its fleet of new Airbus A321 and A330-300 aircrafts.
The airline is scheduled to receive its new Airbus A321 aircraft in August this year. The new aircraft would be configured with 202 seats – 12 seats in business class, 36 seats in premium economy and 104 seats in economy class. Ramon Ang, President of Philippine Airlines, said that the remaining 50 seats on the aircraft would be designated “low-cost carrier” class.

Ang further said that the airline’s new Airbus A330-300 aircraft would be in two separate configurations – one designated for Philippine Airlines and another for the airline’s subsidiary PAL Express.
