Now no more hassle or worries for travelers from Iceland wanting to
get seamless access to Europe. Toronto-based Porter Airlines has
recently signed an interline agreement with Iceland’s flagship carrier
Icelandair. The new agreement will give travelers seamless access to
Europe.
The new interline pact is aimed at providing travelers easy and
hassle-free connectivity. This will allow the passengers to book a
single combined e-ticket for Porter Airlines as well as Icelandair
flights. They will also be able to check their baggage through to their
final destination. This will be Porter Airlines’ first interline
agreement that will provide access to Europe.
Porter Airlines is upbeat about the new agreement with Icelandair. The
airline says that the passengers will find it convenient to gain access
to Europe since Icelandair has numerous gateways within its network.
Currently, Icelandair offers flights services to Iceland from several
cities in North America, and also provides connections to more than 20
cities in Continental Europe, UK and Scandinavia. Recently, Icelandair
has expanded its seasonal service from Toronto’s Pearson Airport and
transformed to a year-round operation. The airline has also resumed its
seasonal service from Halifax with up to three flights every week.
A regional airline in Canada, Porter Airlines is based at Billy Bishop
Toronto City Airport. Porter Airlines has recently added two more
options from Chicago to Toronto. The airline will be introducing an
additional weekday flight through August 30, 2013, and would be
introducing a new Saturday flight.
