History
In the year 1936, Air Canada came into existence. Not only scheduled but charter flights are also offered by the airlines. Cargo services are also offered by this airline. Star Alliance’s founder member that is a group of 28 airlines was also formed 1997. From the Trans Canada Airlines Creation that was originated by efforts of the Federal Government of Canada the national carrier of Canada came into existence. In 1988, this airline was privatized. Canadian Airlines, one of the largest rivals of Air Canada was acquired by the airlines in the year 2001.

The airline previously operated four subsidiaries. These include Air Canada Jazz, Zip, Air Canada Tango and Aeroplan.

Air Canada operates an all Boeing fleet. The fleet includes 12 Boeing 777-300, six Boeing 777-200, eight Boeing A330-300, and 27 Boeing 767-300 aircrafts.

These destinations include Kingdom of the Netherlands, France Territories, British Overseas Territories, United States Territories and Overseas Territories.
