Volaris Airlines is a low-cost carrier in Mexico. The airline is operating under Mexico-based Concesionaria Vuela Compañía de Aviación, S.A. de C.V. It is the second largest airline in the country after Aeromexico. Volaris Airlines began operating as a low cost carrier in the year 2006. It has strengthened its network in Mexico significantly and is currently the leading operator in Mexico’s domestic aviation market. The airline is headquartered in Santa Fe, Álvaro Obregón, Mexico City. Volaris Airlines presently holds nearly 13 to 14 percent of the domestic market. Volaris Airlines is serving 29 destinations within Mexico and 10 other international destinations from its main hub at Adolfo López Mateos International Airport in Toluca. Volaris Airline operates an all-Airbus fleet consisting of a total 43 aircrafts. These include 23 Airbus A319-100 and 19 Airbus A320-200. It has also placed orders for 47 more aircrafts comprising 11 Airbus A319-100, 6 Airbus A320-200 and 30 Airbus A320neo.
