AirTran adds new route between Chicago and Jamaica
AirTran Airways has recently announced that its will soon start operating its new flights service between Chicago and Jamaica. The all new service is expected to begin by 2013 spring. The prime reason for the delay of this AirTran Airways flight is the government approval needed to operate this international flight.
Southwest Airlines, the parent company of AirTran Airways recently announced in a press meeting that AirTran will start operating between Chicago's Midway Airport and Montego Bay, Jamaica from April 14, 2013. Flights on this sector will fly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
They further announced the launch of another sector which will operate from Midway Airport, Chicago to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic from May 19. 2013. Flights on this sector will fly on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
