Scandinavian Airlines new expansion on long-haul and European routes

Scandinavian Airlines announced the expansion of route network with two new long haul routes Oslo to New York and Copenhagen to Shanghai. In addition, Scandinavian launches a number of new European routes and a significant number of new frequencies. As per Airlines, Oslo to New York route will be launched march 27th 2011 and will be serviced daily with an Airbus A330-300, Whilst Copenhagen  to Shanghai will start as five times weekly as of next winter, using an Airbus A340 – 300.

The additional European frequencies will be continuously introduced during spring 2011. Compared to same period last year, SAS will offer150 more departures a week on key routes. Frequencies on intra-Scandinavian routes have also increased with an additional 50 departures as of September, as well as more departures to New York, Chicago, Bangkok and Dubai as of later this month and with the world’s best punctuality and the only airline in the world with the environmental certificates ISO14001 and EMAS, SAS is moving forward with the clear ambition to serve even more passengers.
