The Alaska Airlines has said that it will be extending hours for the members visiting its Board Room airport lounges in Anchorage, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland, Ore, starting June 11, 2011.
According to the airline, the Anchorage Board Room will open four to six hours longer per day than its current schedule from June 11. With the extension, the Anchorage Board Room will be open from 5 am to 1.30 am.
The Saturday hours of the Portland and San Francisco Board Rooms have been extended to 9 pm. The Seattle Board Room will be opened until 10.30 pm daily, whereas earlier it had been closing at 7.30 pm on Saturday.
Caroline Boren, Alaska Airline’s Managing Director of Loyalty Marketing and Customer Advocacy, said, “We listened to our members who requested longer hours at our lounge in Anchorage and on the weekends at our other Board Rooms. These new hours will offer nighttime and weekend travelers even greater access to a place where they can relax and enjoy our personal service.”
Board Room hours
Anchorage: 5 am to 1.30 am daily, starting June 11. Currently closes at 9.30 pm Sunday through Friday and at 7.30 pm on Saturday.
Los Angeles: 6 am to 11.30 pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday; 6 am to 10 pm Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Portland: 5 am to 9 pm daily.
San Francisco: 6 am to 9 pm Sunday through Friday; 7 am to 9 pm Saturday.
Seattle: 5 am to 10.30 pm daily.
Besides, Alaska Airlines also announced that those joining as members of Board Rooms between now and June 30, 2011, will be able to earn 5,000 Mileage Plan bonus miles.
