Emirates Airlines is redesigning its Airbus A380. Under this new design the airlines is planning to have just two classifications of seats, namely Economy Class and Business Class. This all new variant of Airbus 380 will not have First Class seats, as the previous version.
Tim Clark, president Emirates Airlines confirmed this news and said that this all new variant of Airbus A380 minus the First Class Cabins will be flying from 2016. He further said that the airline decided to go ahead with this new design as they have observed decline in the purchase of high prices seats. He said that this new version of aircraft will be operational on specifically those sectors where the demand for seats is high, but the customers are not willing to pay higher prices.
The new A380s will now be sporting Business and Economy Class cabins and an upper deck bar. The older version of A380s will be operational on Emirates most profitable long-haul routes.
