On May 5th, the TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour sees more than 30000 people pedaling away through a 40 mile course to explore the city; closely following this is the Bronx Week from May 9th to 19th, a festive event of parades, music and with special days honoring different groups of people. The NYCxDESIGN is a creative event showcasing the best of design in schools, galleries, parks and convention centers.

From May 17th to 19th, Brooklyn’s Prospect Park hosts the Great Googa Mooga with exciting music and fabulous food while on May 18th and 19th the Ninth Avenue Food Festival offers a gastronomic extravaganza with exotic cuisine of various countries paired with music and clothing. Don’t miss the reopening of hurricane hit New York Aquarium on May 25th, seven months after Sandy battered it. Of course, the Memorial Day Parade on May 27th and the exciting sales that follow it are events that just cannot be missed.

June brings with it the Museum Mile Festival which offers free entry and lots of activities in specific museums, the American crafts festival on June 8th and 9th at the Lincoln Center and the PRIDE week, a celebration of the vast LGBT population of New York.
