For centuries, the boldest adventurers have gone to Africa to experience the beautiful wilderness, varying cultures and majestic wildlife. Nowadays, there's still plenty of adventure to be had - but you can get there in much better style than past travelers. Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, are just a few clicks away. That means it's time to start planning the journey of a lifetime!

Safaris
Kenya is home to some of the most interesting and exotic animals on the face of the planet. If you're staying in Nairobi, you can easily book safari tours where you'll be able to get up close and personal with giraffes, rhinos and other amazing creatures. At Nairobi National park, you can go on a safari among leopards, lions, hyenas, buffalo and one of the rarest species of all, the black rhino. According to the Kenyan Wildlife Service, Nairobi National Park is the oldest in the country, founded 1946. You can visit on a day trip from the capital or go camping in one of three designated areas.

If marine life interests you, consider staying in the coastal city of Malindi. Just south of the city is Watamu Marine National Park, where you can see lots of colorful fish, flocks of birds and peaceful sea turtles. But that's not all - at Watamu, you can go snorkeling, windsurfing or simply relax on a white sand beach. Consider hiring a glass-bottomed boat for a great look at the sealife without getting wet!

Rock climbing and hiking
If you want to take your adventure to the next level, you should check out Kenya's gorgeous hiking trails and rock climbing areas. The KWS recommended Hell's Gate National Park for more extreme tourists. There, you'll find natural rock towers and steaming volcanic hills. You can even rent a mountain bike and go exploring among the local gazelles, zebras and vultures. To relax afterwards, the park features a natural spa where visitors can relax their aching muscles.

For Hiking, TripAdvisor recommended the Ngong Hills in the Rift Valley. Outdoor lovers will be immersed in lush, green scenery in the fresh air. The hills are a short drive from Nairobi, so if city life is getting too hectic for you, a trip to Ngong will make you feel relaxed and at peace.

Kenya is full of wonderful people, beautiful scenery and amazing wildlife. Start planning your adventure today!
