Plan where to stay
Getting a cheap hotel room in Las Vegas doesn't mean you have to stay somewhere less-than-luxurious. There's always great deals on rooms. And who knows, if you hit it big, your room might even get comped for an extra night! USA Today reported that there are hotels for every budget - so if you'd rather save your money for food, drinks and other goodies, you don't need to spend too much on a room. Public transportation is easy to use, and taxis are abundant. If you prefer to rent a car, however, there's a little something for every taste.

Top things to do in Las Vegas

2. The Stratosphere Tower
If you really want to get a good look at the town, the Stratosphere Tower is the best way to do so. According to the official site, the observation deck is the tallest in the U.S. From a height of 1,149 feet, you can see all of the shenanigans going on in the strip, plus the surrounding area. Also, the tower features four thrill rides. The X Scream, for example, is a pivoting roller coaster 900 feet above the ground.

3. Adventuredome
For more rides, thrill seekers should head to the Adventuredome, a 5-acre amusement park inside Las Vegas. Fun for the whole family, the Adventuredome has roller coasters, spinning rides, towers and lazer tag. If mom and dad want to sneak away and play the slots, the kids are sure to have a blast riding the slingshot and other exciting rides.
