by Richa G 4. July 2013 09:25

Air New Zealand will be acquiring 10 Boeing 787-9 aircrafts and include them in its new fleet. The airline has confirmed the destinations where these aircrafts would fly to.

Air New Zealand said that Shanghai and Tokyo would be the primary long-haul destinations for the new aircraft. The airline would also serve mid-haul destinations such as Papeete, Perth and Auckland from Honolulu.

Christopher Luxon, Chief Executive Officer, said that Air New Zealand will be the proud launch customer for the Boeing 787-9 aircraft. He said that the new aircrafts would be a game changer for the airline.

The new aircraft would be featuring a Business Premier cabin. Air New Zealand said that the customers buying business class tickets would get a new flying experience. The cabin would feature the airline’s signature chalk-colored, luxurious leather armchair which would convert to 180 degree lie flat bed complete with memory foam mattress, two full size pillows and duvet. Apart from this, the aircraft would also feature Premium Economy and Economy cabins.
