Cathy Pacific Airways will be launching an all new Premium Economy Class to its Mumbai flights. This addition will be made on Hong Kong-Mumbai route from March 2013. The airline also plans to increase the frequency of its flights on this route from April 2.
With this addition Cathy Pacific has become the first East-bound Airways to provide a Premium Economy class service from Mumbai. Cathay Pacific Airways, GM South Asia, Middle East & Africa, Charlie Stewart-Cox said that the airlines is delighted to offer Premium Economy flights to passengers flying between Hong Kong and Mumbai. He further said that the airline in future plans to extend this service to other Indian cities as well.
At present Boeing 747-400 aircraft will operated this sector. This aircraft will be fitted with four-class configuration seats. Additional flights on this route to be operational from April will be served by Airbus A330-300 and this aircraft will be fitted with three-class configuration seats. Cathy Pacific in 2012 had introduced Premium Economy Class on its Delhi and Chennai flights.
