JetBlue Airways flights would start offering cheap flights to Haiti from the month of December this year. The airline recently announced it is planning to launch its flights to Port-au-Prince from New York and Fort Lauderdale offering seamless connections to its customers.
The airline in a statement said that it will start operating daily nonstop flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince starting December 5, 2013. JetBlue Airways will also begin offering twice daily flights to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport from Port-au-Prince on the same day.
The airline, however, said that flights services to Port-au-Prince’s Toussaint Louverture International Airport from both New York City and Fort Lauderdale are subject to approval by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
JetBlue Airways said that the launch of flights would offer Port-au-Prince customers to conveniently connect onwards from Fort Lauderdale to other U.S. destinations including Washington DC, Newark, New York and Boston. Similarly, customers purchasing JetBlue Airways tickets and traveling on the airline’s new nonstop service from Port-au-Prince to New York would be able to connect to Chicago, Boston and Buffalo, among other destinations.
