British Airways revises baggage allowances for long haul coach class

With effect from 1st February 2011, British Airways has increased the checked baggage allowance from one to two for the passengers traveling in full fare coach class on long haul flights.

The Gold and Silver Executive Club members, the Sapphire and Emerald oneworld equivalents of the AAdvantage and Iberia’s Plus frequent flyer programs, will also be able to take two bags in coach class of all the three airlines.

There has also been an increase in the baggage fee. The fees for the heavy bags weighing between 23 kg and 32 kg will increase from USD 50 to USD 60 for the coach class and Premium Economy class.

There has not been any change in other class baggage allowances of the airline.
