Jet Airways Exploring Options to Open New International Hubs

India’s second largest private carrier Jet Airways has indicated that it is exploring options to open at least two additional international hubs. The airline currently offers its services out of its international hub in Abu Dhabi. The airline also has an international hub in Brussels.

The international hub in Abu Dhabi has come into Jet Airways’ kitty following Etihad Airways decision to acquire a 24 percent stake in the airline for an estimated $379 million. Media reports disclosed that apart from Abu Dhabi, Jet Airways is now exploring options to operate out of two additional international hubs and is eying Amsterdam, Berlin and Paris for this purpose.

Media reports quoted a Jet Airways official as saying that two more international hubs would prove to beneficial for the airline and help it to offer more travel options and competitive fares to passengers booking Jet Airways flights. In India, Jet Airways presently uses New Delhi and Mumbai as its local hubs.
